BMIHMS welcomes the Chinese Consul to our Leura Campus

Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School (BMIHMS) proudly welcomed Mr. Liu Wenwu, Vice-Consul Education Office, Consulate – General of the People’s Republic of China in Sydney to conduct a tour and meet the students and team at our Leura Campus.

Mr. Liu’s visit is the second conducted by a Chinese Consul to Leura, and reinforces BMIHMS’s sustained working relationship with China.

The visit enabled the Blue Mountains team to showcase the recently completed upgrades and refurbishment work to the campus, including our bespoke reception and entrance lounge, Asian Fusion restaurant, training bar, student lounge and modernised accommodation.

During the tour, Mr Liu had the opportunity to meet our Chinese Bachelor of Business students, who on their return to China will have their studies verified by the China Consult in Sydney.

Mr. Liu also had the opportunity to meet President Zang Qilin of Suzhou Tourism and Finance Institute (STFI). STFI is the partner of BMIHMS in our joint venture campus in China, which is one of the many international study options available for Blue Mountains students.

Guy Bentley CEO of BMIHMS expressed thanks for the time Mr Liu provided to meet our students and team, as well as tour our campus facilities. He explained “ We have worked closely with China for over 20 years and it’s a great honour to receive this visit and endorsement. We take a lot of pride in being the No. 1 Hotel Management School in Australia and the Asia Pacific and in ensuring the best careers are attained by our students in China or anywhere around the globe”.
