Our annual Sales and Marketing Conference saw some of Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School (BMIHMS) Education Counsellors and Area Managers from all around the world joining our team in Australia for an action packed few days.
The conference was the first opportunity that many of our visitors had to meet current students, tour our campuses in both Sydney and Leura, participate in engaging presentations and undertake practical workshops to get a taste of what life is really like for the students who study at BMIHMS.
The group was exposed to housekeeping workshops, teaming up with students in Leura to learn about how student accommodation is managed, and a vibrant food and beverage workshop, where students demonstrated how to prepare some impressive cocktails and then allowed our guests to create their own concoctions.
Presentations were given from our Career Development and Academic teams about some of the exciting new projects that are underway, and the group also received in depth training from our Quality, Planning & Registration department.
Local BMIHMS staff and students took the group on a tour of the Blue Mountains, visiting iconic landmarks including The Three Sisters rock formation, and enjoyed a decadent three course meal at Chambers Restaurant, prepared by BMIHMS’ incredible chef, Andrew Neale, with the assistance of students. The conference wrapped with a fantastic cruise on Sydney Harbour, bringing a busy week to a close with plenty of good food, dancing and laughter.
