BMIHMS Announced as Host of CAUTHE 2016

CAUTE Annual Conference, 2016

The Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School (BMIHMS) has been announced as the first private higher education provider to individually host the annual Council for Australasian Tourism and Hospitality Education (CAUTHE) conference in Sydney next year.

The annual CAUTHE research conference brings together tourism, hospitality and events professionals from academia, government and business to promote informative, stimulating and challenging discussion on the latest issues in the field.
CAUTHE 2016 will run from February 8 – 11 and the theme is ‘The Changing Landscape: The Impact of Emerging Markets and Destinations’. As the number of travellers from emerging markets continues to rise, and the number of ‘new’ destinations develop, the tourism and hospitality industry is faced with a rapidly changing demand for the products and services that are offered.

BMIHMS Head of Academic Affairs, Dr Scott Richardson, said the team was thrilled to be hosting next year’s conference.
“Each year, CAUTHE presents a wonderful opportunity for experienced professionals to unite, share ideas and engage in meaningful conversation on a wide range of topics. It’s a huge honour for BMIHMS to be hosting such a significant global event. I have no doubt that CAUTHE 2016 will be an incredibly valuable and informative experience for everyone involved,” he said.
