Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School (BMIHMS) has a long-standing reputation for excellence in the industry.
Even so, it’s a great moment when that reputation is confirmed by a judging panel.
At the end of last month, the Tourism Hospitality and Catering Institute (THCI) held it’s annual awards at the Grace Hotel, in Sydney.
A respected industry body, the THCI has a diverse set of members from across the hospitality industry. Its mission is to support its members in training and development, so that they can improve their lives. It’s been running in NSW for over forty years!
The THCI awards recognise the outstanding achievements of hard working teachers and trainers in the industry.
Awards are handed out to trainers across 8 different categories: Commercial Cookery, Patisserie, Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage, Travel and Tourism, Event Management, and Classroom Support.
This year, we’re so proud to announce that BMIHMS received four awards! Congratulations to the incredible staff who work so hard to deliver such a fantastic education to all our students.
Of all the nominees, three of our staff came in as finalists for training awards under several categories:
Of these finalists, Michaela Murray went on to receive a prestigious Presidents Award, for Event Management Teacher of the Year.
The rest of the BMIHMS team are so excited to see you take home that award, Michaela, recognising all your efforts.
It’s also important to remember on these occasions that there’s a huge team of exceptional staff at BMIHMS who weren’t participating in the awards last month. See here for a full list of our faculty, all of whom have years of experience in the industry.
So, here’s a big ‘thank you’ to all of our talented and hard-working staff. We couldn’t deliver the exceptional courses that we do, without your diligence and care.
BMIHMS offers a range of courses in international hotel management, tourism, events and international business. See here for more information.
