AM I ELIGIBLE?

Recipients must be new BMIHMS at Torrens University students commencing studies
Australian or New Zealand citizens and permanent residents, or International students.
Recipients must have completed their Higher School Certificate (HSC), or Certificate 4 in Hospitality Management or have relevant industry work experience.

Note: Successful applicants will be requested to assist with additional duties during their time as a student. These responsibilities will include, becoming members of the SRC, undertaking additional student ambassadorial duties and being available for promotional opportunities. 

HOW DO I APPLY?

  1. Complete the BMIHMS Scholarship Applications form, specifying your desired intake. Please ensure the document is submitted by the deadline date outlined.
  2. Provide a cover letter outlining merit and need for the scholarship, including information on personal qualities and achievements, as well future aspirations. For National Scholarships, this needs to be at least 500 words in length.
  3. Submit a resume outlining schooling, work experience, extracurricular activities, career goals, interests and hobbies.
  4. Provide certified copies of any certificates and transcripts received (including year 11 & 12 results, where applicable).
  5. Attach letters of reference from a teacher, or employer.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I APPLY?

1. Selected applicants are invited to attend an interview, which may involve phone, face to face and panel interviews/workshops.

2. Successful applicants are requested to assist with certain duties during their time as a student. These responsibilities will include but are not limited to, becoming members of the SRC and / or other student ambassadorial duties.
