The Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School (BMIHMS) has added two new programs to its current course offering.
The Bachelor of Business – Guest Experience Management (GEM) have been introduced to meet ongoing industry growth and demand.
The RACM degree adds to the specialist hospitality management education currently delivered by BMIHMS. It is designed for individuals who are passionate about food and wine and who are also striving to build a management career. The GEM degree gives students the opportunity to select two specialisations from luxury retail, casinos, integrated attractions, cruise ship, marketing and events. Both the RACM and the GEM are 2.5-year degrees that will provide graduates with a business qualification and the added benefit of skills and knowledge specific to the hospitality sector.
BMIHMS COO, Jerome Casteigt, said:
“The hospitality industry is growing at a rapid pace, and so too are opportunities for graduates in the field. As a leading institution for hospitality education, it is only natural that we would continue to adapt and introduce new specialised course offerings to meet industry demand for graduates with specific skill sets.
“There are many opportunities within this sector in a range of food and beverage outlets through branding, finance and revenue, food service operations, entertainment facilities and venue management.
“In addition to our existing courses, these new degrees offer a comprehensive field of study with diverse career paths, which is a fantastic benefit to students as well as those employers seeking to hire our graduates down the track.”
